My name is Ellen
I graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelors in Elementary Education in 2018. I am enthusiastic about marrying my education background with my passions for yoga and social emotional learning. Shortly after receiving my RYT 200 certification, I established Queer Yoga Club at Breathing Room in Cedar Rapids. My mission is to be an advocate and listener for marginalized communities.
I began practicing yoga so I can sleep at night. I wanted a moment to be okay with being alone with myself. The deep listening I was giving to my breath and body allowed me to find rest. My practice made the storm outside of the neurodivergent umbrella, under which I stand, more peaceful.
